At the time I am writing this, it is nine months into the year and I have been noticing a trend in the type of photos I am taking. As the year goes on, the theme of this section will likely change but for now it seems I have been focusing on capturing the different types of friendships I see around me and exploring new places. Being an avid hiker, I love exploring new places and since I take an abundant amount of photos, the first nine months of the year have been spent looking for new places to photograph.
2015: Exploring Friendship & New Places
There are some people who, whether consciously or not, always have a striking pose. Robin is one of those people.
This is one of my favourite photos, purely for that fact that I love capturing facial expressions.

Resident Advisor Training
In August, I started my job as an RA (Resident Advisor) at my residence. Every year, Campus Living Centres (CLC, the management company I work for as an RA) hosts a big training conference at one of its properties in Ontario for its 200+ RAs. The pictures in this album are photos from the conference that I took of my teammates, other RAs, or other CLC employees in the company. I have also included some photos from our property training. *Click on image to see it on a larger scale.*
Relay for Life
Relay is an event to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society whose objective is to provide transportation for cancer patients to get treatment. My camera doesn't do well with low light situations and I chose not to use my flash during the event so some photos might be grainy. My most prized photographs from this night were the photos I took of the luminary bags. Those photos will not have a description other than the name of the person or people someone decorated that bag for. *Click on image to see it on a larger scale.*
I got the opportunity to be the photographer at Thompson Rivers University's first student-organized Relay for Life.

Graduation Photos
In my third year of university, a few of my friends asked me to take their graduation photos. Some of the photos here are also from the end of a semester when I was asked to take headshots and a group photo for a group of students in the Respitory Therapy program at Thompson Rivers University as part of their final project. Once I was back in Calgary, I was also asked to photograph a graduation party thrown by someone graduating from my high school. *Click on image to see it on a larger scale.*
