Featured here are some of the projects that I have personally worked on. The projects range from being part of an assignment for a class in university, digital media I generated for a specific club or extra-curricular activity, to something I have worked on for my own personal enjoyment.

Digital Media Projects

Photo for Jack.org TRU Chapter

In September 2015, I created this image for the Jack.org TRU Chapter club at Thompson Rivers University, of which I am the official photographer. I took a photo of my friend's dog wearing a pair of Jack.org promotional sunglasses. In an editing program, I added the name of the club onto the photo. This digital media project was used as the header (cover photo) on the club's official Facebook page. Mental health, which this club is about, is often a hard topic for people to discuss while a large amount of people enjoy looking at and talking about dogs. I chose to create this project because I thought combining the two would help people be more open to the topic of mental health. This proved to be true when I noticed an increase in the rate of "likes" on the Facebook page directly after changing the "cover" photo from a generic one that listed the club name over a color background to this picture.

Create A Meme

A meme is a picture or video that is replicated multiple times, often altered with a funny or creative message showing up in text somewhere on the image or in the video. In my "Introduction to Digital Media" class, our first assignment was to create a meme out of a picture we found on the internet. We were tasked with creating an original meme that couldn't be easily found online. For example, we couldn't use the popular meme, "I don't always (blank) but when I do, (blank)" as a "formula" for creating our meme. I chose to do this after remembering countless discussions with my friends over the state of some people's hair after dyeing their hair so often.
